I've never been one of those girls who dreams about her wedding day. I have friends who are obsessed with wedding shows, blogs, etc...I just don't get it. Sure, diamonds are nice but who wants a dress that can only be worn once. In two weeks, my mom will be getting married and as much as I dislike the idea of marriage, its kind of cute. I just finished reading Twenties Girl written by Sophie Kinsella (author of Shopaholic). If you like the Shopaholic books, you should read Twenties Girl. At Coachella, Whitney Port wore high waisted shorts with a black top. I am obsessed with this look. I'm thinking this summer I might just live in high waisted shorts and bandeau tops...at the beach anything goes.

I'm loving these shorts from Urban Outfitters especially the scalloped bottoms. Let's go retro. I've been lusting over this bikini since last year and it's back at Mod Cloth this year! I think it's a must for the summer.

One of my professors pointed out that I wear black way to much so I thought I'd mix it up with this fun, colorful, floral dress. It's the perfect dress for spring and is super comfortable. Since it's still a little cold I paired it with a black cardigan, tights, and booties (can't completely get away from black). I love that the dress is shorter in the front and longer in the back, it makes me spin around and dance.

I'm a sucker for good visual merchandising. After four years of D&M, I can't help but notice every store window I pass. Louis Vuitton always has the best windows, it makes my day when they change them (which doesn't happen very often). I'm in love with birds and bird cages, something about thinking about flying away! So, of course I was a big fan of LV's winter windows. The new windows for spring are super fun with heels flowing away on balloons. The pink is a nice change from the usual dark brown background.

Ever feel like you have a never ending to do list? 24 hours just aren't enough in a day. Life is a balancing act that I have almost mastered perfectly with the help of red bull, coffee, and tea. I have a couple of DIY projects that just keep being pushed to the bottom of my list...such as beading lace tights and shredding vintage tees. I promise I'll get to these eventually and post the results. This weekend was completely exhausting between designing, work, and recouping from a nasty fall down the stairs.

Ziggy and I could just not stay awake today

I spoke to a woman the other day who went to art school and loved painting and said she just doesn't have time for it anymore. After hearing this I decided I'm going to make more time for the things I push to the bottom of my list. As much as I love grad school (best decision of my life) and the work I have to do daily for it, sometimes it's just nice to do something I don't have to do. Never give up something you love because of time...set aside a few hours once a week and ALWAYS make time for the people in your life.

Those who know me know that I'm a fat kid stuck in a skinny kid's body. I could eat dessert for every meal and be perfectly content. The only exception is chicken parm...love love love chicken parm. Breakfast is pretty much the only real meal I have time to eat during the day. Luckily, breakfast is the only meal I really know how to make. My friend taught me to make french toast a while back and to this day it's still pretty much the only thing I can cook. Thanks John! It's absolutely scrumptious!

Scramble two eggs, throw some cinnamon in there, soak two pieces of bread in the mixture, throw the bread on a pan and cook, right before you think the toast looks done put tons of chocolate chips on each piece. Bon Appetit!

I saw this amazing photographer/artist on Design is Mine and fell in love with her work. She's not even 18 yet and her work is breath taking.

During the last big snow storm I went outside to snow covered trees and white in the distance. I loved it, I couldn't see what was ahead of me or what was behind it. This photo reminds me of that day.

I had to start the new year in this charming Alice and Olivia dress. It has pleated puff sleeves and lovely scalloping on the bottom. I'm obsessed with the blog Le Love. One of the entries was so fitting. My pup pup *not really a pup since she was 13 years old* died in October. If you have ever lost a pet you need to look at this entry, it's so cute. On Halloween I brought two new loves into my life, adorable brother and sister sheltie pups. Ziggy and Hailey.

Teaspoons and Petals- This store is perfect to go with my addiction to tea. Teaspoons and Petals sells gorgeous teacups with a handwritten haiku on each. Plus it is based in Philly and you can't get any better than Philly Love.

Publique House sells unique 3-D cards and placemats. I love the placemats are super cute for special occasions. They are offered with a pop out of a pram, birdcage (my favorite), balloons, scooter, butterflies, cake, reindeer. The pram placemats would be so adorable for a baby shower.

Graphic Designer, Valentina is behind Valentina Design's inspirational art work. I think everyone should have a piece of hers hung up in their house. Not only are her drawings adorable but also uplifting.
